Two were perched on a dune of dancing dandelions, wind discommoding the incalescence temperature of the stunning summer afternoon. A reserved giggled was perceived by the ear, ricocheting along with the waves of the air as it scampered through the emaciated blades of grass that tickled at the bare feet of the two lovers. The ecstatic adoration from them radiated off like the rays from the scintillating sun above them as it deliberately receded towards the west, indicating their day brief at that. An arm outstretched, as if to kidnap the lackadaisical clouds rolling above for her love.
“What’s that one look like to you?” A mellow voice questioned, turning to her lover whom was settled adjacent to her.
The sapphire eyed female studied the cloud for an instant, antecedently another beam caked across her enticing face, brightening the area around them, “A duckling.”
Her partner gave a light guffaw, feeling it carry away with the wind that coursed around them as it fondled their skin as lightly as the petals of a tulip.
“Do they all look like ducklings to you?”
A simple nod was all that she needed to respond by before they both smiled at each other, pressing their foreheads against each other with a touch so delicate and a love so powerful, it would’ve made the angels weep.
Their voices dipped to compassionate whispers, promises of secrets and love enveloped in them.
“I love you, with the entity that is my heart.” The luminous hazel eyed female breathed, looking into her lover’s eyes, admiring at how they glimmered. She gave a nervous chuckle as she watched the wildfire of blush spread across her fidgety partner’s face.
“I love you too.” She responded back, the wildfire now traveling down her neck and arms at incredulous speed.
They marveled at each other’s beauty for a moment before their lips met, the taste of sweet honey drizzled with the crisp feeling of fresh rainfall danced upon their lips gracefully, sparking the feeling they felt within themselves. Love grew stronger, even as they slowly broke the kiss, wrapping arms around each other and watching the sun dip below the horizon.
Although, as one would have perceived, their shadows interchanged. One now with bushy ears and a matching tail, the other with a sizable hoodie and headphones. Although they were in matching positions, things looked a bit peculiar.
It seemed that in another alternate universe filled of fantasy, a matching duo like them were doing the same actions, too madly in love to care. For their love was too strong of a bond to break, sealed for eternity with the everlasting taste of honey.
